In September 2013 - Dave & Harry did the Cancer Awareness Ride in Modesto, CA. During that ride, they decided that they should start a cycling club aimed at enthusiastic riders with similar skills and goals.

Other riders including Jon Longden, Kurt Wetzel, Enrique Pasos, John Mangas and Mark Weber voted on a name for the club.  
Delta Valley Velo (DV2) was born! Thanks Kurt Wetzel for the name!

DV2 is located in Brentwood (East Contra Costa County). There is no membership fee required and all are welcome. The club is for road bike enthusiasts and more than 100 men and women riders have participated in our rides. An average ride includes between 10-20+ riders. Rides vary from 20-100 miles (see calendar) and take us throughout Brentwood, Oakley, Discovery Bay, Byron, Knightsen, Antioch, Pittsburg, Livermore, etc. DV2 rides for health and fitness, social reasons, and to improve our cycling skills. On occasion we participate in fund raising and host other social events.

Helmets and smiles are required for all rides! Our Moto - Ride Safe & Strong!!!
